Minnesota Senate: Craig's Fundraising Edge Over a Divided Field

Angie Craig, a Democrat, leads the Minnesota Senate race in fundraising with $12.7 million raised and $3.57 million on hand, well ahead of every other candidate in the field. Peggy Flanagan, running as an independent, has brought in $6.52 million but has burned through most of it, leaving just over $1 million in reserve heading into the stretch.

On the Republican side, Michele Tafoya tops her primary rivals with $5.29 million raised and $1.33 million on hand, outpacing Adam Schwarze ($1.44 million raised, $183,816 on hand), Royce White ($661,620 raised but negative cash flow, with disbursements exceeding receipts), and Tom Weiler, who has raised the least at $220,513 but kept spending modest.

The financial gap between Craig and the rest of the field is stark: her $3.57 million cash reserve exceeds the combined cash on hand of every Republican candidate listed. Flanagan's spending pace, having disbursed $5.46 million against $6.52 million raised, suggests a campaign burning cash quickly relative to Craig's more conservative ratio of spending to receipts.
