# Marcy Kaptur Marcy Kaptur is a Democrat serving as the U.S. representative for Ohio's 9th congressional district, which encompasses northwestern Ohio along Lake Erie including parts of Toledo and surrounding communities. First elected to Congress in 1983, she is the longest-serving woman in U.S. congressional history and has served as the dean of Ohio's congressional delegation since 2009. She is seeking reelection to her House seat.
