Biography

Laurie Buckhout is a Republican candidate for U.S. House in North Carolina's 1st congressional district. She previously served as acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Cyber Policy in the Department of Defense from March to September 2025 and was the Republican nominee in the district in 2024, losing to incumbent Don Davis. She is running for the seat again in 2026.
