Biography

David Valadao is a Republican representing California's 22nd congressional district in the U.S. House, serving since 2023. A dairy farmer by profession, he previously served in the California State Assembly and was first elected to Congress in 2012, representing the state's 21st district before redistricting. Valadao's tenure in the House has included a 2018 election loss followed by his return to Congress in 2020.
