Biography

Jerrold Nadler is a lawyer and longtime Democratic representative from New York who has served in the U.S. House since 1992, making him the dean of New York's congressional delegation. He represents the 12th Congressional District, which encompasses Manhattan from 14th Street to 110th Street, and previously served eight terms in the New York State Assembly before his election to Congress. His district has been renumbered several times over his tenure, previously covering portions of Manhattan and Brooklyn.
