Vicki Schmidt is the Kansas Insurance Commissioner, a position she was first elected to in 2018 and re-elected to in 2022. Prior to her current role, she served in the Kansas Senate representing the 20th district from 2005 to 2019, where she held the position of Senate Assistant Majority Leader twice during her tenure. Schmidt is a Republican seeking the Kansas governorship.
