# Edna DeVries Edna B. DeVries is a realtor and Alaska politician who has served as mayor of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough since November 2021. She previously held the position of Palmer mayor from 2016 to 2021 and served in the Alaska Senate from 1984 to 1988. DeVries is running as the Republican candidate for Governor of Alaska.
