Biography

Susan Collins is the senior United States senator from Maine, serving in that position since 1997 and holding the distinction of being Maine's longest-serving member of Congress. As a member of the Republican Party, she is the longest-serving Republican woman senator and currently chairs the Senate Appropriations Committee as of 2025. She is the incumbent candidate seeking reelection to her Senate seat.
