Biography

William Cassidy is a physician and senior U.S. Senator from Louisiana, serving in that position since 2015. He previously represented Louisiana in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015 and in the Louisiana State Senate from 2006 to 2009. Since 2025, he has chaired the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
