# Wanda James Wanda James is a business owner and Democratic candidate for U.S. House in Colorado's 1st District. She has served on the University of Colorado Board of Regents since 2023, making her the first Black woman elected to that board in 43 years. James is also the first African American woman to own a marijuana dispensary in the United States.
