# Sara Jacobs Sara Jacobs is the U.S. Representative for California's 51st congressional district, a position she has held since 2023, following her prior representation of the 53rd district from 2021 to 2023. Her district encompasses central and eastern San Diego as well as surrounding suburbs including El Cajon, La Mesa, Spring Valley, and Lemon Grove. As a member of the Democratic Party, she serves in the House Democratic leadership.
