# Patrick Halpin Patrick Goodchild Halpin is a New York politician with a background in county government and utilities management. He previously served as Suffolk County executive from 1988 to 1991 and currently chairs the Suffolk County Water Authority, a position he has held since 2018. Halpin is running as a Democratic challenger in New York's 2nd Congressional District.
