# Garland Barr Garland Hale "Andy" Barr IV is an American attorney and Republican politician who has served as the U.S. representative for Kentucky's 6th congressional district since 2013. Previously, he worked in the administration of Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher. In 2025, Barr announced his candidacy for U.S. Senate to succeed retiring incumbent Mitch McConnell.
