# Michael Whatley Michael Whatley is an American politician and lawyer who served as chairman of the Republican National Committee from 2024 to 2025 and as chair of the North Carolina Republican Party from 2019 to 2024. Prior to his RNC leadership, he served as the committee's general counsel in 2024. Whatley is seeking the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in North Carolina.
