Biography
Nida Allam is a data analyst and political activist who has served on the Durham County Board of Commissioners since 2020, making her the first Muslim woman to hold public office in North Carolina. She previously served as third vice-chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party from 2017 to 2021, becoming the first Muslim to serve on the party's executive board. Allam is seeking the Democratic nomination for U.S. House in North Carolina's 4th District.
