# Bill Hagerty William Francis Hagerty IV is the junior United States senator from Tennessee, serving since 2021. Before his election to the Senate, he served as the 30th United States ambassador to Japan from 2017 to 2019 under President Donald Trump. Hagerty is a member of the Republican Party and previously worked as a businessman.
