Biography

Mary Peltola is a Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate from Alaska who previously served as the U.S. representative from Alaska's at-large congressional district from 2022 to 2025. She has held various positions in Alaska public service, including member of the Alaska House of Representatives, Bethel city councilor, tribal judge, and executive director of the Kuskokwim River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission. Peltola is the most recent Democrat to have won or held statewide office in Alaska as of 2026.
