# Marsha Blackburn Marsha Blackburn is a Republican politician and businesswoman who currently serves as a U.S. Senator from Tennessee, a position she has held since her election in 2018. Prior to her Senate service, Blackburn represented Tennessee's 7th congressional district in the House of Representatives from 2003 to 2019 and served in the Tennessee State Senate from 1999 to 2003. She is seeking the Republican nomination for Governor of Tennessee.
