Biography

Kenneth J. Block is a Rhode Island businessman and software engineer who founded the Moderate Party of Rhode Island and previously served as president of RI Taxpayers, a taxpayer advocacy group. He has run for Governor of Rhode Island multiple times, including as the Moderate Party candidate in 2010, as a Republican primary candidate in 2014, and as an independent candidate in 2026. Block is known for his focus on political reform and fiscal issues in state politics.
