Biography
Greg Abbott is a Republican politician and attorney who has served as the 48th Governor of Texas since 2015, making him the longest-serving incumbent governor in the United States as of 2025. Prior to his governorship, Abbott served as Texas Attorney General from 2002 to 2015 and as a Justice of the Texas Supreme Court from 1996 to 2001. He is seeking reelection to continue his tenure as governor.
