Biography

Ted Lieu is a lawyer and member of the Democratic Party who has represented California's 36th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2023, following his previous representation of the state's 33rd district from 2015 to 2023. His district encompasses South Bay and Westside Los Angeles, along with Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and surrounding beach communities. Lieu is seeking reelection to his current House seat.
