Biography

Summer Lee is a Democratic U.S. Representative serving Pennsylvania's 12th congressional district since 2023, representing Pittsburgh and surrounding areas including parts of Westmoreland County. She made history as the first Black woman elected to represent Pennsylvania in Congress following her 2022 primary and general election victories. Lee has a background in social activism prior to her election to Congress.
