Biography

Shelley Capito is a Republican politician serving as the senior United States senator from West Virginia. She previously represented West Virginia's 2nd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2001 to 2015. Capito is the daughter of Arch Alfred Moore Jr., who served three terms as West Virginia governor and six terms in the U.S. House.
