Biography

Jahana Hayes is the U.S. representative for Connecticut's 5th congressional district, a position she has held since 2019. The Democratic incumbent represents a northwestern Connecticut district that includes New Britain, Danbury, and Waterbury. Prior to her election to Congress, Hayes was named the National Teacher of the Year in 2016.
