Biography

Sylvia Garcia is a lawyer and Democratic politician who has represented Texas's 29th congressional district in the U.S. House since 2019, covering much of eastern Houston. Prior to her election to Congress, she served in the Texas State Senate representing the 6th district. Garcia is seeking reelection to her U.S. House seat.
