Biography

Virginia Foxx has represented North Carolina's 5th congressional district in the U.S. House since 2005 and currently serves as chair of the House Rules Committee. Her background includes work as a businesswoman and educator, and she has held several leadership positions within the House Republican Conference, including chair of the House Committee on Education and Labor. As the dean of North Carolina's congressional delegation, Foxx represents a district encompassing much of rural northwestern North Carolina, including portions of Greensboro.
