# Adriano Espaillat Adriano Espaillat is the U.S. representative for New York's 13th congressional district, a position he has held since 2017. He previously served in the New York State Senate and New York State Assembly. Espaillat is the first Dominican American and first formerly undocumented immigrant to serve in Congress.
