Biography

Katherine Clark is a lawyer and Democratic politician currently serving her seventh term representing Massachusetts's 5th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, a position she has held since 2013. She currently serves as House Minority Whip, a leadership role she has held since 2023, and previously served as Assistant Speaker from 2021 to 2023. Prior to her time in Congress, Clark served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 2008 to 2011 and the Massachusetts Senate from 2011 to 2013.
