Biography

Gus Michael Bilirakis is a lawyer and Republican serving as the U.S. representative for Florida's 12th congressional district, a position he has held since 2013. He previously represented Florida's 9th congressional district in Congress beginning in 2007, when he succeeded his father Michael Bilirakis, and served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1998 to 2006. His district encompasses much of the northern Tampa Bay area.
