Biography

Edward Markey is the junior United States senator from Massachusetts, a position he has held since 2013. He previously served 20 consecutive terms in the U.S. House of Representatives representing Massachusetts's 7th congressional district from 1976 to 2013, and served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 1973 to 1976. He is the dean of the Massachusetts congressional delegation.
