Biography

Kina Collins is a community organizer and activist from Illinois whose work has focused on gun control, criminal justice reform, and universal healthcare. She is a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House in Illinois's 7th congressional district, having previously run in the Democratic primary for the same seat in 2020 and 2022, receiving 13.8% and 45.6% of the vote respectively. Collins has declared her candidacy for the 2026 Democratic primary election.
