Mark Teixeira is a Republican candidate for U.S. House in Texas's 21st District. A former Major League Baseball player who spent 14 seasons with four teams and won a World Series championship with the New York Yankees in 2009, Teixeira is seeking elected office for the first time as a challenger in this race.
