Michelle Steel is a Republican politician who previously served as the U.S. representative for California's 45th congressional district from 2023 to 2025, and represented the 48th district from 2021 to 2023. During her tenure in Congress, she served on House Minority Whip Steve Scalise's Whip Team. Steel is seeking to return to the House in California's 45th district.
