Biography

Jamie Raskin is an attorney and law professor who has served as the U.S. representative for Maryland's 8th congressional district since 2017. Prior to his election to Congress, he served in the Maryland State Senate from 2007 to 2016. His district, which includes portions of Montgomery and Prince George's counties, was redrawn following the 2022 redistricting cycle.
