Biography

Ilhan Omar has served as the U.S. Representative for Minnesota's 5th congressional district since 2019, representing Minneapolis and surrounding areas. Prior to her election to Congress, she served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2017 to 2019. Omar is a member of the Democratic Party.
