Biography

Richard Neal is a Democratic U.S. Representative who has served Massachusetts's 1st congressional district since 1989, making him the longest-serving member of the state's congressional delegation. His district encompasses Springfield, Pittsfield, Holyoke, and several other municipalities in western Massachusetts. Neal currently holds the position of dean of both the Massachusetts House delegation and the New England House delegations.
