Biography

Joseph D. Morelle is a Democratic U.S. Representative from New York's 25th congressional district, serving since 2018. He previously represented the 136th Assembly district in the New York State Assembly, where he served as majority leader beginning in 2013. Morelle was elected to Congress following the death of longtime Representative Louise Slaughter.
