Biography

Mark Messmer is a Republican U.S. Representative for Indiana's 8th congressional district, having assumed office in 2025. Prior to his election to Congress, he served in the Indiana State Senate from 2014 to 2024, including as majority leader from 2018 to 2022, and represented the 63rd district in the Indiana House of Representatives for three terms between 2008 and 2014. He also served on the Holy Family School Board, where he held the position of president from 2003 to 2004.
