Biography

Gregory Meeks is a lawyer and longtime U.S. Representative from New York's 5th District, serving in the House since 1998. He previously chaired the House Committee on Foreign Affairs from 2021 to 2023 and currently serves as the committee's ranking member. Meeks also chairs the Queens County Democratic Party and will become the dean of New York's House delegation in 2026.
