Biography

Darrell Issa is a Republican businessman and politician currently serving as the U.S. representative for California's 48th congressional district. He previously served in the House from 2001 to 2019, representing districts in the San Diego area, and chaired the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee from 2011 to 2015. Issa returned to Congress in 2021 after a two-year absence.
