Biography

Thom Tillis is a Republican U.S. Senator from North Carolina, serving since 2015. He previously served in the North Carolina House of Representatives from 2007 to 2015, including as Speaker from 2011 to 2015. Tillis was elected to the Senate in 2014 and re-elected in 2020, and became North Carolina's senior senator in 2023.
