Biography

Jeanne Shaheen is the senior United States senator from New Hampshire, serving in that position since 2009. Previously, she served as the 78th governor of New Hampshire from 1997 to 2003, and has a background in education. She is the first woman elected to serve as both governor and U.S. senator.
