Biography

Charles Eugene "Chip" Roy is a Republican attorney and incumbent U.S. Representative for Texas's 21st congressional district, serving since 2019. Prior to his election to Congress, Roy worked as chief of staff to Senator Ted Cruz and as first assistant attorney general of Texas. He serves as policy chair of the House Freedom Caucus.
