Biography

Mark Amodei is a lawyer who has served as the U.S. Representative for Nevada's 2nd congressional district since winning a special election in 2011. Prior to his election to Congress, he served in the Nevada Assembly from 1997 to 1999 and in the Nevada Senate from 1999 to 2011, and chaired the Nevada Republican Party. As the longest-serving member of Nevada's current congressional delegation, Amodei is the state's only Republican representative in Congress.
